We are seeking an outstanding Production Manager to run production activities at its system manufacturing facility in the UK.

Employing more than 150 people globally, the group lead in the design and manufacture of Ultraviolet disinfection technology for a wide variety of applications. Products range from standard to custom engineered solutions involving chemical, light science, electrical and mechanical engineering and are distributed globally.
Products are supplied to a wide range of customers including Coca Cola, Pepsi Cola, Danone, Intel, Samsung, Pfizer, Kraft Foods, Astra Zeneca and Wartsila, among many other leading brands.
Design and production of our own UV Lamps gives us control over the critical component at the heart of our products and gives strategic advantage over our competitors.
~ Water disinfection, displacing chemicals in water treatment in many applications such as: food and beverage production, pharmaceuticals, aquaculture, marine, drinking water and wastewater.
~ Air and surface disinfection, treating conveyor belts in production environments, cooling units, and air supplies.
Overseeing a production and test team of up to 30 people, you will be responsible for producing Electrical Control Cabinets, Pressurised Water Vessels and testing all manufactured equipment to ensure quality and safety requirements are met. There is an emphasis on team development, with people, quality, and sustainability at the centre of everything.
Coupled with delivery of exceptional quality products, in market leading lead times, you will be responsible for implementing an environment of challenge and innovation, with continuous improvement at the forefront of your thoughts. You will play a significant role in bringing together key stakeholders in the business, ensuring commercial targets are met, and improvement is repeatedly delivered.
Leading, managing, and developing the systems production and test team, ensuring a culture of encouragement and ownership is in place.
Excellent stakeholder management, in particular exceptional communication.
Drive and deliver continuous improvement through production, demonstrating tangible quality improvement, working towards 100% RFT.
Take the lead with driving change and creating a LEAN production setup.
Identify improvement opportunities and manage the implementation of projects to realise benefits, both within production, and other operational areas.
Ensure Health & Safety excellence is implemented and maintained, with ongoing training requirements met and clearly defined roles and responsibilities within the team.
Manage and plan production resource levels to drive efficiency and meet financial targets.
Review daily production progress to ensure on time delivery.
Work closely and seamlessly with the quality and procurement departments to improve incoming component quality, reducing the volume of rejects.
Support other departments and/or supervisors as needed (providing cover, identifying shortages, responding to quality issues, kitting, and despatch).
Improve visual management.
Manage all facilities related to the factory, ensuring subcontractors are managed accordingly.
Taking pride in your facility, maintain high housekeeping standards throughout factory.

We are looking for a leader with a successful track record in Production Management. Degree or equivalent in engineering or related field
