MFL (Modern Foreign Languages) Teacher - Ilford
Location: Ilford Start Date: End of January 2025 Required Qualifications: QTS (Qualified Teacher Status)
About the Role:
Teaching Personnel's PWR Team is working with an "Outstanding" school based in Ilford who are seeking a passionate and experienced MFL teacher to join their department. You will be responsible for inspiring a love of languages in students and driving excellence in language learning.
Responsibilities:
* Teach French/Spanish across the curriculum KS3-4 (KS5 preferred but not required)
* Prepare and deliver engaging and effective lessons that develop students' speaking, listening, reading, and writing skills
* Contribute to the development of a stimulating and progressive curriculum for MFL
* Motivate and support all students in achieving their full potential in languages
* Set and mark assessments, providing clear and constructive feedback
Ideal Candidate:
* Holds a QTS or equivalent teaching qualification with a specialism in Modern Foreign Languages
* Has a strong understanding of current language teaching pedagogy
* Possesses excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with students and colleagues
* Demonstrates a proven track record of successful teaching in a secondary school setting
* A passion for languages and the cultural aspects they offer is essential
