Job description: Purpose The solution architect transforms functional and non-functional requirements into design to reach the simple, efficient and maintainable solution that best addresses customers’ requirements and optimize IDEMIA business value. Key missions Gathers business and functional requirements from external/internal customers, and translate requirements into technical specifications that are robust, scalable and supportable. Promotes standard solutions and aims for simplicity. Defines the functional and technical architecture of the system to meet the criteria of performance, budget, quality and risks induced by the customer requirements and contextual constraints of the system operation. Performs architecture feasibility analysis (including performance, fault and risk analysis) and makes recommendations on solutions architecture options. Serves as technical lead throughout the full solution development lifecycle, end-to-end. Develops and documents architecture specifications that serve as the reference for engineering and execution. Provides design and validation reviews for other engineers, including feedback on architecture and design issues, as well as integration, performance and scalability. Monitors and enforces architecture/technological consistency among all platform components. Supports developers on managing technical issues. Key technical skills System architecture knowledge (scalability/resilience/manageability/security, …). IT Infrastructure knowledge: OS (Windows, Linux, Unix), virtual environments (VMware,…), network, High Availability, Cloud Infrastructure (AWS, Azure), Docker, Kubernetes. Database principles knowledge : relational database and non-relational database, caching, block storage, etc. Software development knowledge. IT Security knowledge (PKI, certificate, firewall, …). Standards knowledge: ISO 27001, CE, eIDAS, ICAO, PCI, GSMA etc. English both oral and written. Key soft skills & behavior Interpersonal and communication skills. Impact and influence. Constructive collaboration. Problem solving skills. Requirements UK HO SC Clearance. UK NPPV3 Clearance preferable. Preference to have experience in delivering to UK Government. Work Location Winnersh Triangle: Office based roles. Working Hours: Monday – Friday 9am – 5pm. Ability to attend customer meetings / workshop sessions onsite.
