About Us: Experience with Special Species: At our practice, we welcome rabbits and small furries, and our team has extensive experience with these species, with members pursuing certificates in these areas. Diverse Case Load: We also offer experiences in orthopaedics and ophthalmology, with certificate holders in these areas. Wildlife Care: Work alongside Herbie Hedgehog Rescue providing care to wild hedgehogs. State-of-the-Art Equipment: We are equipped with dental X-ray, ultrasound, internal lab facilities, tonometer, slit lamps, and more to provide the best possible care to our patients. About the Role: Flexible Hours: We are open to considering flexible hours to accommodate your schedule. Our shifts vary between 8:30 am – 5:00 pm and 11:00 am – 7:30 pm throughout the week. Our Saturday rotation is 1 in 5 Saturdays working 8:30 am – 5:00 pm, with support from a Veterinary Care Assistant (VCA). Staff discounts, rewards schemes, and more. A Day in the Life of Our RVN Team: In our veterinary practice, you are given a ‘station’ for the day. This will be either on kennels, theatre, prep, or consultations. Kennel Shifts: Manage a diverse inpatient caseload and implement tailored care plans for each patient. Our nurses play a vital role in overseeing the care of hospitalised animals and their recovery post-procedures. Theatre Shifts: Monitor general anaesthetics and assist skilled veterinary surgeons during operations, ranging from routine neutering to complex soft tissue, orthopaedic, and ophthalmic surgeries. Prep Shifts: Engage in a variety of tasks, including theatre circulating, aiding in consultations and kennel care, processing lab samples, and organising surgical kits. Consultations: Interact directly with our valued clients and their pets, providing services such as weight checks, medication administration, and post-operative assessments.
