Job Description
We are looking for a responsible and dedicated Park Ranger with a keen eye for detail to join a well-established team in the Clay Cross area!
This role will require a very hands-on approach, and we are seeking individuals with a keen interest in nature and the outdoors! You would be operating in various sites including Country Parks, Multi-User Trails, and many other varied greenspaces.
As a Park Ranger, you would be responsible for:
1. Site Patrols
2. Safety Checks
3. Litter Picking and Bin Maintenance
4. Advising the Public
5. Mobility Scooter Hires
6. Waterfowl Feeding and monitoring for Avian Flu
7. Car Park Maintenance
8. Supporting in the Shop
9. Fencing Maintenance
10. Volunteer Coordination
11. Incident Response
12. First Aid and anti-social behaviour response
13. End of the day lock up

Duration: This is a temporary role with an immediate start, worked guaranteed until March 2025 with potential for extension for the right fit.
Contract Type: Temporary
Hourly Rate: The wage for this role stands at £12.39 per hour PAYE, 28 days holiday pro rata. With a credited Umbrella Scheme, you would earn £15.80 an hour. Please note we do not offer visa sponsorships.
Working Hours: This role consists of day work with flexible hours, with one weekend out of four being a necessity.

Experience & Qualifications
To be the successful candidate you would need the following:
1. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
2. Ability to work in a team and independently
3. Problem solving and basic maintenance skills
4. Willingness to be flexible with working times (weekends)
5. A keen interest in wildlife and the outdoors
Previous experience in a similar role is not a necessity but is desirable.
