We are working on an exciting opportunity for a Junior Employment Solicitor to join a large Public Sector organisation, to cover a period of maternity leave.
The role will commence within the next month, for a period of 12 months. The organisation are willing to consider a range of experience from NQ, through to 3 years PQE. A hybrid working arrangement is on offer, with two days a week attendance in the office (located in Manchester)
Duties will involve
* Providing advice and representation on employment related matters assisting in the provision of effective, efficient and comprehensive legal services to the organisation
* Providing timely proactive strategic and practical legal advice and guidance to the Force on all employment related issues considering changes in or new legislation and case law, including Regulations and Health & Safety
* Assisting in the analysis of grievances, claims and Employment Tribunals enabling trends to be monitored, including differences between different groups, identifying lessons to be learnt and allowing discrimination to be tackled
* Providing advice in respect of employee related claims whether made internally, to the Employment Tribunal or to a court, considering potential liability and providing full legal advice to assist in the making of informed decisions as to whether matters should be settled or contested
The successful candidate must be a Qualified Solicitor, Barrister or CILEx.
