We are looking for a caring, enthusiastic Nursery Nurse to join our supportive team in Oldbury, where we are committed to providing high-quality care and education for children with SEN.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide one-to-one and small group support for children with Special Educational Needs (SEN), ensuring they receive the tailored care and attention they need to thrive.
- Assist in delivering activities that support the children's learning and development, particularly in communication, motor skills, and social-emotional development.
- Work closely with other staff members, including SEN coordinators and teachers, to create and implement individualised learning plans.
- Help create a safe, nurturing environment where children feel comfortable and motivated to engage.
- Support children with daily routines, including meal times, play activities, and rest periods, always prioritising their well-being.
- Foster strong, positive relationships with children, parents, and colleagues.
What We're Looking For:
- Experience with SEN: Previous experience working with children with SEN is essential.
- Qualifications: A Level 3 Childcare qualification (or equivalent) is desirable, but we will consider candidates with relevant experience and a passion for early years education.
- Passion for Early Years: A genuine desire to help children grow, learn, and reach their full potential.
- Strong Communication Skills: Ability to communicate effectively with children, parents, and staff, ensuring all needs are met.
- Patience & Empathy: An understanding and patient approach when working with children with SEN, creating a positive and inclusive atmosphere.
