The company is seeking a compassionate, enthusiastic, and dedicated individual to join their friendly, award-winning team as a Wellbeing and Activities Assistant.
Main duties of the job
As Wellbeing and Activities Assistant, the focus will be to support the Wellbeing Coordinator in providing a wide range of activities to engage and stimulate the residents' physical, cognitive, and social well-being. Other responsibilities include maintaining a safe living and working environment, reporting changes in residents' physical or emotional condition, supporting with ordering and preparing supplies for upcoming activities, and establishing links with the local community.
Job Responsibilities
* Maintaining a safe living and working environment, contributing to the positive and professional image of the home.
* Reporting any changes in residents' physical or emotional condition to the Wellbeing and Activity Coordinator, Home Manager, and the care staff.
* Supporting with ordering and preparing supplies for upcoming activities as directed.
* Supporting establishing links with the local community (e.g., schools, spiritual groups, museums/libraries) to encourage access to the wider community and promote intergenerational activity.

* Have effective communication skills, verbal and written.
* Demonstrate understanding of the role interaction plays in the general well-being of people.
* Have a positive attitude toward older people and a commitment to providing stimulating, quality activities and social events.
* Have previously worked with older people in a residential nursing Dementia setting.
Requirements
* ADBS Disclosure check, the cost of which will be met by Avery Healthcare.
* Proof of eligibility to work in the UK.
Please note this role will require a Disclosure and Barring Service check and is subject to the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act (Exceptions Order) 1975.
