About the Role:
As an Art Teacher, you will play a crucial role in nurturing students' artistic talents and helping them develop their creative skills. You will work closely with a team of dedicated professionals to create and implement engaging art lessons tailored to each student’s needs. This is a fantastic opportunity to make a real impact in a supportive and inclusive educational environment.
Key Responsibilities of Art Teacher:
Develop and implement engaging art lessons for students.
Provide one-on-one and small group instruction tailored to students’ needs.
Monitor and assess student progress, adapting teaching strategies as necessary.
Collaborate with teachers, support staff, and parents to ensure a cohesive approach to each student’s education and well-being.
Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment where all students feel valued, respected, and supported.
Use a variety of teaching methods to engage and motivate students.
Keep detailed records of each student’s progress and communicate this information to parents, support staff, and other relevant parties.
Requirements of Art Teacher:
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
Prior experience in teaching art or supporting students in artistic endeavours is essential.
Excellent communication skills.
Ability to establish and maintain strong, supportive relationships with all members of the school community.
Deep commitment to helping students develop their artistic skills, exhibiting patience and empathy.
Relevant qualifications or training in art education (desirable but not essential).
To work with GSL Education as an Art Teacher, you will need:
The right to work in the UK.
An up-to-date CV with two relevant references from within the last 2 years.
An enhanced DBS registered to the update service or be happy to apply for one with GSL Education.
