The Opportunity:
We are excited to be recruiting for an Compliance Trainer to join our manufacturing site in Thirsk, North Yorkshire on a permanent basis.
The Role:
To develop, deliver and manage training programmes related to regulatory compliance across site. To ensure all colleagues understand and adhere to company policies, legal requirements and industry standards critical to maintaining a safe, efficient and compliant operational environment.
Key Accountabilities:
Lead on the site delivery of the annual compliance training plan to ensure mandatory standards are met and maintained.
Lead the delivery of induction training to new and existing colleagues.
Coordinate the implementation of HSE (including FLT), Technical, Engineering compliance training for Novice & refresher requirement and deliver refresher training.
Conduct observations, assessments, retraining or training on policy and procedure updates for colleagues as and where required
Conduct capability assessments to ensure colleagues are carrying out their work activity in accordance with the systems and procedures in place.
Support internal and external audits required to meet business compliance standards including BRC customer, internal audits etc.
Deliver training in specific areas of legal compliance, Health and Safety, Technical and Engineering compliance etc. in line with agreed standards.
Utilise technology and management systems for efficient training program delivery and tracking.
Collaborate with local leadership to adapt training programmes to site-specific regulatory compliance requirements, equipment and processes.
Collaboration with the site leadership team, Department Managers and ASL's.
Identify and utilise external training resources, in line with the group selected providers, to deliver compliance training
Maintain and improve compliance training matrix for all colleagues, ensuring role specific requirements are adhered to.
Standardise compliance training. Ensure consistency in training delivery and adherence to industry standards across all sites.
Evaluate training effectiveness. Gather feedback from colleagues and line managers to assess effectiveness of training programmes and make necessary improvements.
Knowledge, skills and experience:
Attainment of Numeracy and Literacy at entry Level 2
Level 2/3 assessor
Level 3 Education & Training (or equivalent)
Registered Tutor with Highfield Awarding Body (preferred)
Strong attention to detail and passion for quality
Strong understanding of industry standard compliance training (Food manufacturing preferred)
Ability to engage and give added value information
Self-motivated with ability to work independently, influence and drive change
Excellent written, verbal and communication skills including Microsoft
Ability to report on training KPI's and recommend actions
Budget management/coordination
Flexibility to working hours to support business requirements
