An exciting opportunity has arisen for a committed individual with excellent customer care skills to join our Into Work Advice Service Team.
Into Work Advice Service provides employment support for people across Cardiff. We have many bespoke projects specifically aimed at 16-24 year olds, giving them the advice, guidance and support required to successfully transition into employment or training.
About the job
The postholder will work on our Bright Futures Project, which offers employment support to looked after and care experienced 16-24 year olds across Cardiff. The Project will target unemployed and economically inactive young people to help them overcome complex barriers to employment.
What We Are Looking For From You
You will have experience of working with young people on a face-to-face basis and a commitment to providing a high quality customer service. You will have good communication and IT skills, and the ability to resolve disputes in a positive and constructive manner.
You will work well in a team, have excellent communication skills and have a flexible approach. You will understand the issues young people may have; and will have a caring and empathetic approach when providing employment support. Evening and/or weekend working may be required.

This role is temporary until 31/03/2026. Internal candidates who wish to apply for this position on a secondment basis must obtain approval prior to application using Form SEC1 (4.C.081). Requests may only be approved by the relevant Director/ Assistant Director/ Chief Officer or senior nominated officer graded no lower than OM2 or in the case of schools based staff the Headteacher / Governing Body.
