The Office of the School of Arts and Humanities is recruiting an IT Analyst to underpin the continued expansion of the School-wide Information Services team. Under the guidance of the team's IT Developer, the IT Analyst will build and support IT systems across the School, including platforms for student data, several bespoke websites, and infrastructure to enable efficient delivery of local IT services.
The successful candidate will be someone with a passion for problem-solving, who is comfortable working across Windows, macOS, and Linux operating systems, and who is able to achieve a consistently high level of customer service by providing responsive, practical, and friendly technical support. Experience of some of the following technologies would be advantageous: PHP, Python, Django, MySQL, GitLab, and Docker.
You should have either a degree-level qualification, a Level 6 vocational qualification, industry-standard certification, or be able to demonstrate an equivalent level of experience.
The School Information Services team is based on the Sidgwick Site and consists of seven full-time staff working collaboratively: four helpdesk Technicians, an AV Technician, IT Developer, and IT Manager. This new role will complement the infrastructure arm of the team, working across the School but particularly in Modern & Medieval Languages and Linguistics, Classics, Architecture & History of Art, and the Institute for Technology and Humanity (ITH).
