More about your role
You will prospect for new Procurement Hub clients through networking, calls, advertising, and other methods to generate interest, as well as nurturing and growing existing relationships and supporting clients through their procurement journey. Handle objections by clarifying, negotiating, and working towards positive outcomes using different styles. You'll assess the client's procurement needs and capacity, attend sector events to stay updated on trends, and identify opportunities for campaigns that increase sales. Using market knowledge, you will develop unique selling points and differentiators for the company. You'll ensure accurate data entry into the CRM system, track activity, and help close deals to meet targets.
The Essential Criteria for this role is listed below:
* Experience in a public and private sector procurement role.
* Experience in key account management and developing effective account management plans.
* Good understanding of process and seeking new businesses and maintaining new relationships.
* Hold a valid driving license.
More about you
You must have experience managing complex and diverse sales opportunities at various stages, along with strong communication, negotiation, and relationship management skills. A solid understanding of procurement is essential, as well as the ability to confidently present and create presentations. Business planning, financial acumen, and commercial awareness are also key. Preferred experience includes knowledge of public sector procurement, a strong network of public sector contacts, and experience working within UK Procurement directives. You should have at least 2 years in a client relationship role, a proven CPD record, and a willingness to work towards relevant qualifications.
