PermanentOutreach & Food Co-Ordinator required for Lisburn. Job Purpose: The Outreach Worker will lead, coordinate, and deliver the Social Supermarket outreach service across LCCC. The role involves engaging with charities, statutory and non-statutory agencies to ensure those in need can access food and financial support provided by Additionally, the Outreach Worker will manage food support distribution for clients within the project. Main Responsibilities: BuildingRelationships & Community Engagement Develop strong working relationships with partners to foster a collaborative approach to service delivery. Promote and establish effective partnerships with external community organizations. Implement a multi-agency approach to ensure holistic service provision. Liaise with statutory, voluntary, and community sector agencies to maximize client support. Conduct Initial Needs Assessments and Reviews to determine tailored support plans for clients. Assist clients in developing personalized plans to enhance self-reliance and long-term stability. Food Distribution Coordination Organize and maintain appropriate stock for outreach programs. Ensure timely preparation and delivery of food parcels. Adhere to food hygiene guidelines and stay informed about updates and best practices. Management & Supervisory Duties Work collaboratively with volunteers, partners, and colleagues to achieve service goals. Ensure compliance with company policies, including Health & Safety and Equality & Diversity regulations. Oversee and support work experience placements, volunteers, and apprentices as needed. Financial & Administrative Responsibilities Handle cash, donations, and relevant paperwork securely and responsibly. Deliver services within designated financial parameters. Additional Duties Ensure all activities align with the company's mission and objectives. Support community initiatives that contribute to the overall impact. Person Specification: The ideal candidate will demonstrate a commitment to company's values and mission, with a genuine passion for supporting individuals facing financial and social hardships. Essential Criteria: At least 12 months of experience (paid or unpaid) working with individuals in poverty. Strong communication skills, including listening, verbal, and written communication. Excellent organizational skills, including assessment and record-keeping abilities. Proven experience in leading and coordinating programs. Ability to work independently and use initiative effectively. Team-oriented mindset with flexibility to undertake additional tasks when required. High level of confidentiality and professional integrity. Available for occasional evening or weekend work Full driving license, insurance, and access to a roadworthy vehicle for work-related travel.
