Duties as a Year 2 Teacher:
1. Plan, deliver, and assess high-quality lessons across the curriculum to meet the needs of all learners.
2. Create a supportive and inclusive classroom environment where every child feels valued and motivated to learn.
3. Monitor and track pupil progress, providing timely feedback to encourage continuous improvement.
4. Collaborate with colleagues to plan engaging and creative lessons that help students develop key skills.
5. Prepare students for the transition to Key Stage 2, ensuring they are confident and ready for the next step in their learning.
6. Build strong relationships with pupils, parents, and carers, fostering a positive school community.
7. Use a variety of teaching strategies to support different learning styles and individual needs.
Ideal Year 2 Teacher:
1. Holds QTS and has experience teaching in Key Stage 1, particularly Year 2.
2. Has a passion for primary education and a commitment to providing the best possible learning experience for young children.
3. Demonstrates excellent classroom management skills, with the ability to create a nurturing and positive environment.
4. Is creative and resourceful, able to adapt lessons to meet the diverse needs of students.
5. Is a team player, willing to collaborate with colleagues to deliver a high-quality curriculum as a Year 2 Teacher.
6. Has excellent communication skills and a friendly, approachable manner for engaging with pupils, parents, and colleagues.
