Accounts Payable Clerk - Hatfield, Hertfordshire. Your daily responsibilities will include: - Liaising with suppliers to resolve invoicing and payment discrepancies. - Ensuring accurate documentation is attached to invoices and reconciling purchase orders. - Posting invoices and credit notes with precise coding within the system. - Conducting monthly supplier statement reconciliations. - Addressing queries effectively via phone and email. - Overseeing the preparation and processing of supplier payments, with appropriate managerial sign-off. - Upholding compliance with financial policies and procedures. - Investigating and resolving outstanding creditor items. - Maintaining organised filing systems. - Undertaking additional tasks to support the Financial Controller as needed. To excel in this role, you should possess: - A minimum of two years' experience in a purchase ledger or similar role. - Exceptional communication skills. - A keen analytical eye and attention to detail. - Strong problem-solving abilities. - Effective planning and organisational talents. - The capacity to manage critical issues and juggle multiple priorities. - A resourceful nature, with a readiness to go the extra mile. - Excellent time management skills. - Proficiency in Excel and MRP systems, with Priority experience being highly advantageous.
