Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA)
About the Role:
Teach Now Recruitment is excited to announce an opportunity for a dedicated and enthusiastic Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) to join a dynamic primary school in Newham, London. This full-time, temporary role offers the chance to work across Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2, supporting teachers and students in achieving their full potential.
As an HLTA, you will take on a more advanced role than a standard teaching assistant, delivering planned lessons, covering classes, and working closely with teachers to enhance the learning experience. Your expertise and initiative will be essential in creating a positive and inclusive learning environment.
Key Responsibilities:
• Deliver pre-planned lessons across Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2.
• Provide targeted support to individuals and small groups of students.
• Assist with classroom management and maintaining a positive learning atmosphere.
• Collaborate with teachers to plan and implement engaging activities.
• Support the development of pupils’ social and emotional skills.

Applicants Should:
• Hold HLTA status or an equivalent qualification.
• Have experience working in a primary school setting, ideally across KS1 and KS2.
