The Role
As Project Officer for National Gas Services, you'll be involved from the ground up. Planning, coordinating, and documenting all aspects of your projects. As well as managing various depot activities at NGS Cardiff.
You’ll be key to developing scope, coordinating design and monitoring project delivery. You'll manage the works, being the eyes & ears of the Customer Operations Manager on and off site. Focusing on Safety, Quality & Cost, maximising resource to deliver projects on time, safely & on budget.
You'll supervise project life cycle activities on a day-to-day basis, ensuring that business objectives and industry best practices are met.
Other responsibilities will include keeping and collating project quality and asset information, managing stakeholder relationships, and supervising multi-disciplined teams. Undertaking competency reviews, site audits and driving value and progress through staff and contractor engagement.
What You'll Be Doing:
To be successful in this role you'll know your SCO and your NRO and be conversant with the operation and maintenance of gas networks. You will also need experience with gas distribution activities.
You will have a safety-first mindset (NEBOSH would be advantageous) and you will have the experience behind you to take charge and make decisions leading to a successfully delivered project, safe, on time and to spec. You will be a great team motivator managing in-house teams and external contractors working together.
You must hold a valid UK car driving licence and be happy with working on sites across our UK wide transmission and distribution networks, so expect travel and overnight stays 2 to 4 days a week for which you'll be compensated.
