What the Job Involves As a Recycling/Refuse Loader, you will work within a team to collect and load recycling and refuse from agreed collection points. Your responsibilities will include quality inspection, pre-sorting of materials, operation of vehicle loading systems, and ensuring safe working practices. You will also assist with training new team members, engage with the public about recycling policies, and may be required to perform other reasonable tasks as instructed by your supervisor. The role demands flexibility, as you'll work 37 hours per week, including mandatory bank holidays and occasional Saturdays for Christmas collections. Ensuring good working relationships, adhering to council policies, and supporting equality and health and safety practices are key components of your role.
