I am a friendly, outgoing woman living in Llanfairfechan and I am looking for someone to support me to remain independent in my home and out in the community depending on my condition. I have many interests. I like to go for walks by the beach, go shopping, occasional lunch out or visit garden centres. The personal assistant role is to take me out and about when I feel able to on days out, and to keep me company and safe. I also need support to attend appointments. Due to my condition, there may be some weeks where I am unable to leave the house, and on these weeks I will need more practical support at home. Within the home, I will need support with household tasks. I may need you to pop to the shops to get essentials and keep me company and other day to day activities. The kind of person I am looking for is someone who: Will promote and support my confidence and independence, and support and enable me to do things. Has a person centred approach and a genuine interest in supporting people to achieve their goals. Is able to follow instructions and will establish a professional standard of care, to be maintained at all times. Will not use their personal mobile phone at work unless in an emergency. Is trustworthy, kind, punctual and reliable. Is patient and supportive with good listening skills and an ability to provide non-judgemental emotional support. Maintains confidentiality and respects the privacy of my family and I, including the prohibited use of social media in relation to the job role. Is able to work flexibly, adapting to the variable requirements of this role as required. Can drive and has access to a car with business insurance included. Mileage when used within the hours of work will be paid for. Task and duties, to include any or all of the following: To drive me, stay with me to keep me safe and keep me company on any outings as required. To drive me to any appointments as necessary. To support with household tasks. To make sure I have everything I needs in the home such as a drink and food. To go shopping for any food when required. To make cups of tea when required. To support with getting dressed, or help in the bathroom when required.
