We are seeking to recruit an experienced, enthusiastic, and dedicated social worker to join the connected carer assessment and support team.
The Service consists of three teams: Team 1 is the recruitment and assessment team, which has recently launched the Mockingbird project; Team 2 is the support and supervision team; and Team 3 is the connected carers team and kinship care service. Each team works well together to cover the full service and collaborates when pressures determine the need.
This post will be working on Team 3.
You will be expected to have knowledge of Fostering Regulations/National Minimum Standards as well as safeguarding experience and fostering assessment skills. The post holder will be undertaking connected carers assessments, including viability assessments and reg 24 assessments, and will carry a caseload of families they will be responsible for supporting and assessing to a high standard. This includes statutory meetings, Foster Carer reviews, Panel attendance, supporting the team with Training & Development, and all compliance matters under the Fostering Regulations and Standards. The post holder will also be expected to complete fostering duty alongside all other social workers in the service.
Normal hours of work are 37 hours per week based around the usual business working week. We do offer flexible working patterns in line with service requirements. Dependent on service requirements, you may be required to work on a rota basis.
