This is an exciting opportunity to join the Performance and Business Intelligence team
The service provides support to drive the development, coordination and delivery of performance management and business intelligence arrangements across the Council. This is a fantastic opportunity for an enthusiastic, motivated, and highly skilled individual to work within a small supportive team focussed on the ongoing transformation, development and delivery of the Council’s approach to its performance management and business intelligence processes. You will be an integral part of the team working closely with senior leadership to enable the production of high-quality management information and analysis, that ensures data led decision making to drive the successful achievement of the organisation’s strategic priorities and improved service delivery and outcomes for local communities. You will support the development and delivery of a robust outcome-based framework in line with statutory and regulatory requirements, national policy and local drivers for children’s services and the wider partnership.
* To apply for this role, you will ideally have experience and knowledge of how children’s services is structured and functions but also a willingness to support and work across the council’s wider organisational data landscape where required.
* You will work strategically to develop a strong data set for leaders and frontline managers to accurately understand the performance of services and benchmarking with statistical and regional neighbours.
* You will have a strong understanding of performance management tools and techniques and have confidence translating this into reports.
* You will have excellent IT and communication skills, along with the ability to analyse and effectively present and communicate complex data and intelligence both visually and verbally to senior managers and members.
* You will have a passion for innovation and ensuring data and technology can drive improvement and support better outcomes. You will be self-motivated and able to prioritise a busy workload to meet deadlines.
