Based in Dundee, my client is a well-established Civil and Structural Design consultancy dedicated to innovative design and sustainable construction. We’re looking for a talented Structural Engineer to join a growing team and contribute to a variety of exciting projects across residential, commercial and mixed-use developments.
As a Structural Engineer you will:
1. Design & Analysis: Develop structural designs for buildings and infrastructure, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations.
2. Project Management: Oversee projects from initial concept through to completion, including budgeting, scheduling, and client communications.
3. Technical Excellence: Perform structural analysis using advanced software tools and provide technical solutions to complex engineering challenges.
4. Collaboration: Work closely with architects, contractors, and other stakeholders to deliver high-quality engineering solutions.
5. Site Inspections: Conduct site visits and inspections to monitor construction progress and ensure adherence to design specifications.

In order to be considered for this Structural Engineer:
10. Qualifications: A degree in Structural Engineering or a related field. Chartered status or working towards chartership (MICE, MIStructE) is highly desirable.
11. Experience: Minimum of 3 years’ experience in structural engineering, with a solid background in design and analysis of various structural systems.
12. Technical Proficiency: Strong skills in structural analysis software (e.g., AutoCAD, Revit, STAAD, Tekla) and familiarity with relevant codes and standards.
13. Problem-Solving Skills: Ability to provide innovative and practical solutions to engineering problems.
14. Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively liaise with clients and team members.
15. Driving License: A full UK driving license is preferred, as site visits will be part of the role.
