Electrical Engineer - Defence Sector (Electronic Proving Services)
Position Overview: We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Electrical Engineer to join our Defence sector team, specializing in Electronic Proving Services. In this critical role, you will play a key part in ensuring the successful preparation, execution, and documentation of trials for advanced defence equipment. Your technical expertise and analytical skills will contribute to delivering reliable and high-quality solutions to meet the needs of our customers.
Key Responsibilities:
* Ad-Hoc Document Peer Review: Read and critically assess trials documentation for accuracy, completeness, and adherence to established standards
* Equipment and Trial Preparation Reporting: Conduct and prepare detailed reports for:
o Mechanical Pre-flight Trials: Assess and document the readiness of equipment for trial execution
o ESS (Environmental Stress Screening) Trials: Perform ESS trials and contribute to comprehensive reporting
* Legacy TCR (Test Completion Report) Activities: Collect and analyze trial data to support technical evaluations; Produce and publish thorough documentation of test results and findings
* Mechanical Trial Support: Participate in the preparation, execution, and reporting of:
o Mechanical Pre-Qualification Trials: Validate readiness for pre-qualification requirements
o Mechanical Qualification Trials: Ensure compliance with qualification standards through rigorous trial processes
Qualifications and Requirements:
* Degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field
* Experience in the defence or aerospace sector is advantageous
* Strong analytical and data interpretation skills
* Excellent technical documentation and reporting capabilities
* Proficiency in trial preparation and evaluation processes
* Collaborative team player with keen attention to detail
* Ability to commute to Bristol or Stevenage as required
* Security Clearance (SC) is mandatory
* Must be a British National
