Job Overview
The Maintenance Operative will play a crucial role in ensuring our client’s venues are well-maintained, safe, and comfortable for our customers, clients, guests, and team.
This is a regional role; you will be required to travel between 10 different venues as scheduled.
Hours of work will be Monday to Friday between 8am & 4:30pm, although some flexibility may be required depending on works required, and on-call weekends may be available.
Main Duties & Responsibilities
* Optimise property condition and quality and to ensure the building is kept in a safe working condition.
* Maintain a high level of quality, providing maximum satisfaction to customers, clients, guests, and team.
* Understand the mechanism of buildings including plumbing, plant, safety systems, and equipment.
* Provide first and immediate response to fault finding, whilst maximising quality and ensuring cost-effectiveness.
* Ensure prevention of major damage that could result in extensive costs and minimise reactive intervention.
* Understand and maintain grounds and external fabrication of a building, such as drainage and guttering.
* Complete scheduled/planned maintenance per each venue as directed by the Property Manager.
* Source materials for venues and ensure high quality of service and presentation is achieved in each task undertaken.
* Work in accordance with Company safety and environmental policies, directives, code of conduct, and with a duty of care.
* Work with the rest of Property Team to proactively ensure that tasks are completed in a timely and professional manner.
* Understand and demonstrate the principles of Planned Preventative Maintenance.
* Carry out repairs and reactive maintenance.
* Record and report information accurately either internally or externally.
* Understand and demonstrate the safe use of hand tools, for example, screwdrivers, power drills, pliers, paper strippers, and a variety of other tools used in plumbing and carpentry.
* May be required to support the further Property Team to complete Adhoc Maintenance tasks and Project Work.

* The ability to work in a fast-paced environment whilst completing tasks within a specified time and to a high standard.
* Experience in a maintenance role preferable.
* Proficiency in basic carpentry, plumbing, electrical work, and general maintenance tasks.
* Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
* Knowledge of health and safety regulations.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
