EMBS Engineering has been exclusively retained to identify an experienced Manufacturing Engineering Manager on behalf of a leading aerospace manufacturer with a global footprint, that is going from strength to strength.
Our client plays a critical role in designing and manufacturing high-performance polymer components for high-profile industry names like Rolls-Royce, Airbus, Boeing, and Safran.

Role: Manufacturing Engineering Manager
Reporting to the General Manager, you will be responsible for providing first-class engineering support to our manufacturing facility. Your leadership will be key in maintaining market-leading status by driving continuous improvement, lean manufacturing, and a right-first-time culture.
Key Responsibilities:
* Lead and develop the Process Engineering, Maintenance, Health & Safety, and Design teams
* Manage engineering KPIs, ensuring manufacturing excellence and performance improvements
* Implement risk management strategies to minimise downtime and optimise preventive maintenance
* Play a key role in new product introductions, applying a risk-based thinking approach
* Oversee facilities management and H&S initiatives, fostering a zero-accident culture
* Manage departmental budgets and lead CAPEX initiatives
* Act as a key member of the Senior Leadership Team, driving quality, cost, and delivery improvements
Person requirements - Successful applicants MUST be able to demonstrate:
* Strong Engineering / Manufacturing Management experience within a composite/polymer-based manufacturing environment
* Sound understanding of lean process flow and factory layout optimisation
* Confidence in managing engineering teams & working directly with customers/suppliers
* Knowledge of AS9100, ISO14001, ISO45001 (H&S), and other industry standards
***Alternatively, candidates who have performed an Engineering / Manufacturing Managers role within a metallic machining environment but possess a degree in Material Science will also be considered***
