We are North Star, a B Corp certified, impact-led coffee company with around 300 B2B partnerships nationwide, a thriving online community, and 2 of our own retail sites here in Leeds. We were established in 2013 with a vision: to build a coffee industry that works for everyone. We structure all of our business activities around this aim - be that our wholesale offer (valuing long term partnerships with like-minded businesses), how we utilise our coffee shops to demonstrate a quality and impact-led approach, or how we communicate our mission in our marketing and B2C offer.
We are excited to be opening up a role for an experienced and capable Marketing Manager to lead our omnichannel marketing efforts, ensuring seamless, engaging customer experiences across digital, physical, and wholesale touchpoints. You'll shape how our brand connects with customers, develop innovative campaigns, and drive our next phase of growth. You will lead the marketing for North Star, developing and managing campaigns that achieve our marketing goals and revenue targets.

Who You Are
We're looking for a passionate and purpose-driven marketer who:

Key Responsibilities
Campaign Planning & Execution
* Plan, manage, deliver, and evaluate multi-pronged marketing and communication campaigns. You'll work within our established marketing strategy, brand guidelines, and tone of voice to create impactful campaigns that resonate with our target audience.
* Manage marketing budgets, track performance metrics, and develop detailed project and campaign plans. This role requires coordinating with multiple departments (B2B, Coffee Shop, Coffee Kiosk, Coffee Hub) to ensure successful campaign execution.
Content Creation & Brand Storytelling
* Oversee and actively participate in content creation across various campaign touchpoints, including digital marketing, email marketing, social media, in-store promotions, website content, and printed materials. This requires a mixed skill set of copywriting, photography, and overseeing graphic design.
* Create and manage social media content, ensuring a consistent brand voice across all platforms. Lead the content calendar for three social media accounts (Roastery, Kiosk, Coffee Shop) and build relationships with customers and brands on those platforms.
E-commerce
* You will be responsible for managing our e-commerce manager. Collaborating to oversee website updates and improve performance and customer experience to drive growth.
* Assist our e-commerce site manager in developing engaging, personalised email campaigns and flows using Shopify and Klaviyo that are in line with our marketing strategy goals.
Marketing Performance & Data Analysis
* Regularly analyse and report on marketing data and key performance metrics to assess campaign success. Use insights to refine campaigns and improve engagement.
* Manage and monitor marketing budgets, ensuring resources are allocated effectively for maximum impact.
Industry Research & Innovation
* Stay curious—research industry trends, analyse competitors, and keep up to date with the latest developments in marketing, hospitality, and specialty coffee.
* Identify PR opportunities and collaborations to drive innovation and expand North Star's reach.
* Explore and implement new technologies and trends.
Requirements
Key Skills & Experience
* Marketing Campaigns & Planning - experience in developing and managing marketing campaigns, writing marketing strategies and scoping actionable marketing plans. Using project management software such as Asana, Google Drive, and Slack.
* Content Creation & Social Media - skilled in managing multi-channel content strategies. Experience with Meta Suite and other social media scheduling tools.
* Email Marketing & CRM - Experience with Klaviyo, Shopify, and customer data-driven marketing and flows. The ability to write and deliver an email marketing content schedule.
* Graphic Design & Creative Direction - ability to oversee and collaborate with designers but also create content and edit templates.
* Copywriting & Storytelling - strong written communication skills for web, email, and social. The ability to write content that highlights our sustainability and ethics efforts and also the ability to tell the stories of our product and coffee producers.
* Photography/Videography - the ability to create engaging visuals is a bonus.
* Project & Team Management - experience working with and managing suppliers and creatives, managing deadlines, and delivering projects. Some experience of managing a small team would be an advantage.
