Teaching Personnel is looking for a dedicated 1:1 Teaching Assistant (EAL) to support a student in their learning journey. This is a rewarding opportunity to work closely with a pupil who requires additional language support, helping them to develop their English skills and fully engage in the curriculum.
Role & Responsibilities:
✅ Provide 1:1 support to a student with EAL needs, helping them develop their English proficiency.
✅ Assist with language acquisition, comprehension, and communication skills.
✅ Support the student’s integration into the classroom and school environment.
✅ Adapt learning materials to suit the student’s language level and needs.
✅ Work collaboratively with teachers and SENCO to ensure the student’s progress.
✅ Encourage confidence and independence in learning.
Requirements:
✔️ Experience working with children, particularly those with EAL needs.
✔️ A passion for education and supporting student development.
✔️ Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
✔️ Patience, empathy, and a positive attitude.
✔️ Teaching Assistant qualification (desirable but not essential).
✔️ Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to obtain one).
