We are looking for a driven and detail-oriented professional to join a leading renewables company as Mergers & Acquisitions Manager / Senior Mergers & Acquisitions Manager, based on experience. Mandarin speaking is a huge plus.
This is a hands-on role for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is passionate about renewable energy project transactions.
By supported by legal team and business intelligence team, you will work across the full deal cycle—from sourcing to execution—while also getting involved in the financial modeling and deep-dive analysis that underpins successful investments.
What You’ll Be Doing:
Market Research & Strategic Input
* Conduct detailed research and analysis to identify opportunities and acquisition targets within the renewable energy sector.
* Support the shaping of strategic investment direction with market intelligence and industry insights.
Deal Sourcing & Analysis
* Identify and evaluate investment opportunities, including project acquisitions, joint ventures, and platform deals.
* Manage financial modeling, valuations, and due diligence processes.
* Assess deal risks, strategic fit, and potential synergies in alignment with company goals.
* Support and lead deal execution activities, including negotiations and contract structuring.
* Liaise with legal, financial, and technical teams to ensure alignment, compliance, and deal quality.
Post-Deal Involvement
* Assist in integration efforts to ensure acquired assets or platforms align with internal processes and performance expectations.
Internal Communication & Reporting
* Work closely with senior stakeholders to communicate deal progress and insights.
* Prepare high-quality documentation and presentations for internal decision-makers and board-level discussions.
Who You Are:
* Minimum 5 years’ experience in renewable energy transactions (solar/PV essential), with a proven track record in closing deals.
* In-depth knowledge of the renewables development lifecycle, especially up to RTB stage.
* Comfortable rolling up your sleeves—this is a hands-on role requiring strong ownership and execution.
* Proficient in building and reviewing financial models independently.
* Experience with project finance or fundraising is a plus.
* Based in London to meet with investors and banks, remote working.
* Self-starter with a strong “can-do” mindset and the ability to work autonomously.
* Excellent communication skills in English; Chinese language skills are an advantage.
* Background in funds, IPPs, or renewable developers preferred.
