Morson Talent are currently recuriting for an Avionics Mechanic for a contract with our prestigious client based at Gatwick Airport. Assignment Duration: Until 31 Dec 25 Shift: 554 rotation, 12 hour day shifts, 07:00 - 19:00 Start Date: ASAP Completed a recognised apprenticeship or formal training program / Experience working on avionic systems on Boeing aircraft Responsibilities • Perform scheduled maintenance tasks, defect rectification, modifications, repairs and functional tests on Avionic and Electrical systems under the supervisor of a Licensed Aircraft Engineer. • Complete all assigned work in a timely manner to optimise aircraft downtime. • Ensure aircraft technical log book, maintenance documentation, work packages and zonal handovers are completed accurately and within prescribed timescales in conjunction with the Licensed Aircraft Engineer. • Highlight any technical issues, discrepancies or other issues to the Licensed Aircraft Engineer. • Maintain a high standard of husbandry and cleanliness within assigned work areas. • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, company processes and procedures. • Report all incidents and occurrences in the Boeing Safety Management System. • Undertake any reasonable activities as required, including working away from London Gatwick. Required Qualifications • Have completed a recognised apprenticeship, formal training program or able to demonstrate comparable qualifications and experience. • Have experience working in a Line or Base Maintenance environment. • Be a team player who will grasp opportunities to exceed the expectations of internal and external customers. • Flexible worker who is prepared to adjust working hours to meet operational demands. • Proven knowledge and proficiency in Excel, Word, Outlook and PowerPoint and the ability to learn in-house systems. • Meet the requirements to hold a London Gatwick Airport airside pass. • Candidates must have the right to live and work in the United Kingdom.
