Newydd Maintenance Ltd is built on an in-house contractor model, designed to provide quality customer services, whilst achieving substantial planned growth and expansion, potentially outside of the group. Newydd Maintenance Ltd is a subsidiary company which currently provides maintenance services to Newydd Housing Association.
About the role
As Gas & Heating Supervisor you will be responsible for the leadership and management of trade operatives, with direct responsibility for the operational and service delivery. You will ensure an exceptional customer focused service is provided to all Newydd tenants and residents. Your operational responsibilities will include all gas and heating-related workstreams, including gas servicing, and all planned and cyclical maintenance programmes.
Reporting to our Managing director, you will be responsible for the day-to-day delivery of our services, and you will contribute to the commercial viability of our work, whilst ensuring service demands and quality assurance are always met.
About you
You will have or working towards a VRQ Level 4 Gas Safety Management in Social Housing qualification or have an equivalent gas safety/heating qualification and also have previous experience in a supervisory role with evidence of successful performance management outcomes with trade staff or sub-contractors. You will have a comprehensive knowledge of all aspects of domestic property heating, repair/maintenance/planned services, and property heating improvements along with excellent knowledge of property surveying and inspections with a working knowledge of appropriate industry legislation.
You will be our point of contact for Gas Safe and be a role model for your colleagues and be able to motivate and develop a high performing team. This is a demanding and challenging role, and you should enjoy working effectively under your own initiative and managing a busy workload, whilst also being a team player with great customer service and communication skills.
You will be required to join the on-call manager rota (1 in 12 weeks) to support our out-of-hours service for emergency repairs. You will receive a standby allowance and on call payments for this.
