An exciting opportunity has arisen within C5 at University Hospital Southampton NHS Foundation Trust (UHS), for a band 6 ward sister/charge nurse.
C5 is a 14 bedded infectious disease unit, these beds accommodate all infectious disease across multiple specialities.

You will be responsible for assisting the Senior Sister/Charge Nurse in the management of the ward/unit over 24 hours, ensuring high standards of care are maintained and available resources are utilised effectively.
Assisting in the day-to-day management and organisation of the unit as required, demonstrating clinical expertise, and acting as a role model within the infectious diseases setting.

We are looking for a strong leader who is highly motivated with excellent communication skills. The Sister/Charge Nurse role requires a close working relationship with the multi-professional team to ensure that evidence-based quality care is delivered with compassion to every patient.
You will be required to have high clinical standards with a passion for making a difference for patients and staff alike. It is essential that you are good at promoting cooperation, building teams, and developing people for the future, as well as focusing on your professional growth.
