What are the main duties of a Therapeutic Support Worker?
* Providing care, support, and supervision, including household tasks, cooking, shopping, laundry, and independent living skills to the young people in their care.
* Actively promote the welfare, safety, personal development, and wellbeing of all children.
* Follow the PACE model promoting therapeutic relationships between adults, children, families, and professionals involved in the children's care.
* Use creativity and imagination every day.
* Maintain effective communication skills and written records.
* Good organisation, time keeping, and problem-solving skills.
* To aid children/young people with everyday tasks.
* Be open-minded, fun-loving, and caring.
* Willing to travel with the children via company vehicle or public transport.
Working Hours:
0700-2300
40 hrs per week average over 52 weeks including additional sleep-in duties. Following a rolling three-week rota, working one shift on, two off, allowing for a greater work-life balance.
Job Type – Full Time
Salary Up to £33,000 per year
Sleep ins paid on top of base salary at a rate of £60.
Qualifications and Requirements:
* Genuine passion for working with children and young people
* Strong interpersonal and communication skills
* Ability to work as part of a team and collaborate effectively
* Flexibility to work shifts, including weekends and holidays
* Full manual UK Driving Licence (preferred)
* Right to work in the United Kingdom
* QCF Level 3: Children and Young people’s Workforce or equivalent qualification
* Working with children 2 years (required)
