Location: Luton (site based - 4 day condensed weeks as an option) Duration: 12 month contract Rate: £88ph UMB (Inside IR35) Role details: Our client, a leader in the defence and security sector, is currently seeking a Systems Engineer to join their team in Luton. This contract position offers the unique opportunity to work on the prestigious Typhoon Defensive Aids Systems, contributing to the development of critical defence systems. Key Responsibilities: Engaging with stakeholders and defining requirements for new systems. Conducting cost and functional performance trade-offs and evaluating proposed solutions. Designing and integrating new functionality into existing systems. Modelling systems to understand observed and simulated performance. Developing capabilities within the limitations and constraints of target hardware. Creating test plans and requirements for verification and validation of sub-systems. Creating integration plans for unit integration into the full system. Conducting technical discussions with suppliers and customers. Managing documents to support design review activities. Job Requirements: Experience in the systems engineering lifecycle, including problem definition, systems architecture, systems modelling and analysis, and integration, verification, and validation. Proficiency in Model Based Systems Engineering (MBSE). Strong interpersonal skills for managing technical interchange discussions. Experience with product data management tools such as Teamcenter, SharePoint, or Confluence. Self-motivated with a strong aptitude for problem-solving. Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills. Ability to obtain Security Clearance (SC) for UK-caveated programmes.
