Person Specification
Education
Essential Criteria
1. Degree or equivalent in a Healthcare Specialty such as Nursing, Social Work or Physiotherapy. A degree in another subject may be acceptable.
2. A diploma in hypnotherapy from a reputable organisation.
Skills
Essential Criteria
1. Excellent communication skills with the ability to relate to people with different backgrounds in order to establish a good rapport.
2. Ability to work as an effective team member.
3. Ability to prioritise workload.
4. Flexibility.
Experience
Essential Criteria
1. Some experience in hypnotherapy.
Desirable Criteria
1. Use of hypnosis in medical conditions.
2. Previous experience working in the NHS or another healthcare setting.
Aptitudes
Essential Criteria
1. Excellent time management skills.
2. Understand and accept the need to maintain confidentiality.
3. Conscientious and a desire to help others.

Applicant Requirements
The postholder will have access to vulnerable people in the course of their normal duties and as such this post is subject to the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 (Exceptions) Order 1975 (Amendment) (England and Wales) Order 2020 and it will be necessary for a submission for Disclosure to be made to the Disclosure and Barring Service to check for any previous criminal convictions.
