Our client, based in the South Manchester/East Cheshire area near Handforth, are looking for 2 Mechanical Assembly Fitters.
The roles are permanent and pay a basic of up to £18/hr (£37,440 p.a) + overtime + Site payments (for the site role). When on site, you will be paid an extra £65-100/day depending on how long you are on site.
There are 2 Mechanical Fitter roles available, with 1 of these roles requiring some working away on occasional installations abroad. There have been 4 this year, alongside some more local installations that do not require staying overnight. The other position is based solely on their manufacturing site assembling the machines.
These roles would suit qualified Mechanical Fitters who have experience of working to engineering drawings and who are comfortable building machinery.
The company is located in East Cheshire and commutable from Stockport, Handforth, Macclesfield and all areas of South Manchester.
Requirements/Duties:
* Building and assembling company machines from engineering drawings with knowledge of rotating machinery beneficial.
* On site machinery installation experience beneficial.
* Bearings and power transmission equipment knowledge, including belts, pulleys, ball screw/leadscrew.
* A knowledge of pumps and motor/gearbox set-up, alongside assembly of close fitting and tight tolerance machined components & conveyors.
* Benchwork, deburring of machined components & Grinding and polishing of welded components.
