Morson Talent have a great opportunity for an Aircaft Material Quality & Cost Control Auditor to join us on a permanent basis. The successful candidate will be based onsite at RNAS Culdrose and will be responsible to the IMOS Main Base Support Manager, via the IMOS Logistic Manager and directly supports IMOS Output by the delivery of directed tasks within the Merlin Depth Facility (MDF).
DUTIES:
• Development, management and maintenance of Operating Procedures for IMOS Material Services functions.
• Liaison with MOSST\ESC\CSC and Reclaim on engineering matters arising from triage assessment of items returned R2, R4 and Scrap
• Advice and support to IMOS Material Services at Culdrose on matters of Quality and Control.
• Liaison with IMOS MRP 145 Safety Manager and Team.
• To liaise and support as appropriate on authorisation of logistics personal, who require engineering authorisations via MSBM as Logs system QSO and unit Level K.
• Ensure the internal Occurrence Reporting System is promoted throughout the LH IMOS Organisation and that staff are aware of the Just Culture and Error Reporting System embedded therein.
KNOWLEDGE SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:
• Detailed knowledge and 1st hand practical experience of the control, issue and oversight of authorisations to engineering/logistics traded personnel.
• Have a thorough knowledge and experience of Logistics and Military Aviation Quality Systems.
• Hold, as a minimum, professional registration with a relevant or related engineering or logistic body at incorporated Engineer (IEng) standard.
• Have a robust understanding of MAOS\MRP 145 requirements.
• Demonstrate initiative, enthusiasm and diligence in establishing a pragmatic, compliant Quality System bought into by all team members in IMOS.
• Have a functional knowledge of the Merlin Depth Facility.
• Have experience of working within a regulated in air engineering environment including recent exposure to the defence industry with specific experience in a support & logistics environment.
• Comprehensive and detailed knowledge and experience of the support required to deliver helicopter maintenance operations, supply chain and technical support processes, including baseline knowledge of Forward and/or Depth operational support.
• Understanding the engineering criteria and processes underpinning military helicopter airworthiness and safe operation.
• Self-motivated, able to take initiatives and work within teams.
• Business and commercial awareness, with sound understanding of Integrated Operational Support requirements, performance criteria and organisation.
• Be an excellent communicator with the ability to interface at all levels on a daily basis with both the Authority and Industry, including the confidence to interact with a joint Industry/Customer/ Supplier meetings and teams.
