About The Role
To provide business support services to the Skills & Employment Unit including implementing processes for Skills Decisions, organising team events/meetings/Awaydays and coordinating corporate tasks including the monthly Mayors Question Time (MQT), allocation of correspondence from members of the public (Write Ons) and Freedom of Information (FOI) requests, including drafting responses to the more straightforward issues.
What your day will look like:
1. Providing high quality business support to the Units PMO; including minute taking and action chasing.
2. Organising team events such as Away Day.
3. Processing Skills Decisions: key actions to deliver the Units projects.
4. Managing responses to key corporate activities of MQTs, Write Ons and FOIs.
Skills, Knowledge And Experience
1. Evidence of providing high-level business support to a senior manager.
2. Evidence of providing high-level support for a large team including implementing processes to support staff.
3. Experience of using IT systems including MS Outlook, word-processing, spreadsheets, and databases.
4. Strong communication skills and experience of working to demanding deadlines and working with a range of stakeholders.

GLA staff are hybrid working up to 3 days a week in our offices and remotely depending on their role. As part of this, you will need to split your time between home working and coming into the office.
