JOB PURPOSE
As the Reefer Sales Manager, you will drive the growth of our Reefer segment by developing and executing a targeted commercial strategy.
You will oversee all reefer sales activities, identify market opportunities and strengthen customer relationships to maximize both revenue and market share.
This role requires close collaboration with internal teams including Sales Support, Customer Care and Trade Management, ensuring optimal pricing, service, and overall customer satisfaction are achieved at every opportunity.
MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES
Participate in establishing the Commercial actions plan and ensure the agency sales' segmentation is correct and up to date in our inhouse CRM system(s).
Identify the commercial market opportunities within your dedicated market, creating leads and planning & facilitating customer meetings to maximise opportunities
Promote CMA CGM Group Services and Non-Maritime products (e-commerce, VAS, intermodal, CEVA…)
Update commercial data and customer feedback in CRM
Work collaboratively with Sales colleagues, reviewing relevant leads and opportunities identified by others and actively pursuing these
Work with Sales Support teams to ensure customer pricing requests are delivered effectively and in a timely manner
Relay other requests from customers to Customer Care team as required, ensuring our service levels remain as high as possible
Develop overall market share/turnover in accordance to commercial strategy
Management of customer credit facilities
Ensure all customer interactions are recorded in CRM
Update Agency Trade Manager with Market rates / Information as required
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
Sales & Account Management: Proven ability to plan and execute sales strategies, negotiate with clients, and manage key accounts.
Communication & Relationship-Building: Confident in face-to-face meetings, phone calls, and presentations; excellent organizational and interpersonal skills.
Technical Proficiency: Comfortable working with data and using CRM (e.g., Salesforce) and inhouse systems.
Adaptability & Resilience: Capable of working under pressure with excellent time management, prioritization, and a solution-focused mindset.
Teamwork & Independence: Able to collaborate effectively within a cross-functional environment while also thriving in an autonomous role.
Flexibility to travel as required. This is primarily an External Sales (Business Development) focused role, with regular travel to meet with customers across the UK
Full UK driving licence is required, due to extensive travel requirements.
