Job Title: Fabricator/Welder
Location: Rotherham
Shift Pattern: Monday to Friday, 6:00am - 2:30pm
Salary: £14.48 per hour, increasing to £15.63 with MIG or TIG certification
Role Overview:
We are currently recruiting for a Fabricator/Welder to join a well-established manufacturing company in Rotherham. The ideal candidate will be responsible for fabricating and welding metal components to high specifications, ensuring quality craftsmanship, and adhering to strict safety standards. This is an exciting opportunity to work in a dynamic environment with modern fabrication equipment.
Key Responsibilities:
Operate within a safe working environment, following company policies and procedures.
Read and interpret technical drawings to fabricate metal components.
Perform MIG or TIG welding based on project requirements.
Operate various fabrication equipment including press brakes, guillotine, rollers, and pillar drills.
Inspect completed welds to ensure quality and compliance with specifications.
Maintain welding equipment and tools, ensuring they are in good working order.
Collaborate with the team to meet production schedules and project deadlines.
Maintain a clean and organised work area.
Follow safety protocols and ensure the correct use of protective equipment.
Report any issues with equipment or materials to the Fabrication Team Leader.
Provide feedback on process improvements to enhance welding and product quality.Required Qualifications & Experience:
City & Guilds or N/SVQ Level 3 in Welding or Fabrication - preferred
Strong experience with welding, flame cutting, and grinding/polishing.
Ability to read and interpret technical drawings.
Knowledge of safety regulations and procedures related to welding and fabrication.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
