Experienced Architect for a reputable interior architecture and design studio.
Supra Design, an award-winning interior architecture studio based in Manor Royal, West Sussex, is seeking a qualified architectural designer with planning application experience (residential, retail & commercial) for a freelance/contract role. As a key member for upcoming projects, you will be responsible for assisting with planning applications, technical drawings, and specifications for the projects.
Key Responsibilities:
* Demonstrated knowledge and expertise in retail planning applications. Experience with residential, commercial, and retail planning applications.
* Proficiency in SketchUp & Layout software. Experience in AutoCAD is considered; however, we prefer someone skilled in SketchUp Layout.
* Familiar with the latest planning and building control regulations.
* Ability to work effectively both as part of a team and independently.
* Availability for site visits across the UK.
* Admin proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook for creating and managing work schedules for the allocated projects.
* The ideal candidate is required to collaborate with other professionals to ensure seamless coordination from design to project handover.
* Knowledge of up-to-date planning regulations, the application process (residential, retail & commercial), and submission is a must for this role.
* Proven experience in liaising with suppliers, contractors, and clients is required.
* Conducting material research, proposing design solutions, and preparing specifications for client projects, as our studio handles both design and build projects is necessary.
Requirements:
* Qualified ARB or RIBA architect with at least 3 years of experience in residential/F&B/retail & office projects.
* Salary is to be discussed based on experience.
* The role is full-time/contract employment or freelance role.
* Hybrid role where required to come to the office 1-2 times a week.
* It's a 2-step interview, with the 2nd interview conducted at our Manor Royal office.
