Purpose of the Job
The drive for profitability and increased cost efficiency has made it more important than ever that we have a well-controlled, stable process that delivers what we expect. The treatment of our raw material is the foundation of this and has a huge impact on downstream processes from extraction through to drying.
To facilitate further improvements and better process control in this area we will hiring a new position of Raw Material Supervisor. This is with the expectation that this role will be able to deliver a fast return on investment through improved control of the liming and neutralisation process and optimisation, organisation of ossein deliveries and driving CAPEX initiatives in the area.
Without stability in this area we will not be able to achieve our production targets while maintaining the desired quality and yield.
Essential duties and responsibilities
1. Curation of liming inventory spreadsheet
2. Evaluation and control of pit levels & corrective actions
3. Evaluation and control of liming temperatures
4. Coordination of day to day tasks & water usage
5. Performance management of operators working in raw material treatment area
6. Control of time & attendance system for raw material treatment operators
7. Scheduling maintenance activities for liming pits/valves
8. Accomplishment of Housekeeping activities and audits in Farm Areas
9. Creation and update of farm SOPs
10. Curation of training records for Farm personnel
11. Goods receipt of raw material in SAP
12. Generation of liming pit process orders & ossein consumptions in SAP
13. Allocation of treated material to upcoming extractions in SAP
14. Monitoring chemical consumptions & receipt of chemical deliveries
15. Point of contact for raw material hauliers
16. Point of contact for improvement initiatives relating to raw material treatment area
Qualifications
Education, Experience and Knowledge
17. Minimum qualifications: BTEC, A Levels, National Diploma
18. Experience: Minimum 3-5 years relevant experience
19. Knowledge: SAP experience, Proficient in Microsoft Office Package, Production/Manufacturing environment experience
20. Behavioural Competencies: People Management, Assertiveness, Communication
