This is an exciting opportunity for a highly organised, proactive, and friendly individual to join a dynamic team and contribute to the smooth running of the school's administration. The role is due to start ASAP, offering an immediate start for the successful candidate. About the Role: The School Receptionist & Secretary will be responsible for managing the front desk and supporting the Head Teacher with a range of secretarial duties. You will be the first point of contact for visitors, parents, and staff, creating a welcoming environment while also handling general administrative tasks. The role will involve managing the day-to-day operations of the school office, answering queries, handling correspondence, and providing essential administrative support to the Head Teacher. Key Responsibilities: Acting as the first point of contact for parents, staff, and visitors, ensuring a professional and welcoming environment. Answering and directing phone calls, responding to emails, and addressing queries. Managing correspondence and maintaining accurate student and staff records. Providing secretarial support to the Head Teacher, including managing the diary, scheduling meetings, and preparing documents. Assisting with student admissions and attendance. Supporting the smooth running of the school's office functions. Producing letters, reports, and other communications for the school. Assisting with the organisation of school events and meetings. About You: We are looking for a candidate who is highly organised, detail-oriented, and confident in communicating with people at all levels. Previous experience in a school environment is desirable, though not essential. However, a strong administrative background and good understanding of office systems and procedures are crucial. To be considered for this role, you should have: Strong administrative and organisational skills. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal. Proficiency in using school administration software (e.g., SIMS), and Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook). Ability to work efficiently under pressure and meet deadlines. A friendly, professional, and approachable demeanour. A proactive attitude with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
