We have an exciting opportunity for a 8b Senior Clinical Psychologist to join us in our cross county Adult Eating Disorders pathway. This post was developed at a time when the pathway teams are expanding to meet the demands of the service, broaden the clinical expertise in our treatment offer, and support the ongoing alignment of our new model of working across the county of Suffolk.
This is an opportunity for you to be part of an established pathway and to have the added benefit of making a significant impact on the shape of the service for the future.
You will ensure that systems are in place and working effectively for the clinical and professional supervision and support of all other psychologists within the pathway. You will work autonomously within professional guidelines and exercise responsibility for the systematic governance of psychological practice within the team.
Here at NSFT, we pride ourselves on being a welcoming, talented, friendly, and supportive team who like nothing better than sharing experiences and learning from each other. In addition to ongoing training and development opportunities, we are committed to providing an environment in which you can thrive.
As a major requirement of the job, you will conduct training in specialist psychotherapies for staff as well as offering clinical supervision to all grades of staff. You will support the Service Manager, Clinical Team Manager, and the senior clinical team in providing clinical leadership and advice within the eating disorders pathway. This may include offering senior clinical cover for the service, responding to queries or FOI requests, undertaking complaints and serious incident investigations, and 1:1 management supervision.
You will be expected to lead on the strong culture of research and a continuous drive for improving quality within the service. You will contribute to the running of the service and lead on specific areas of clinical relevance.
The post is based in both East and West Suffolk (Ipswich and Bury St Edmunds), although you may be required to attend other sites as part of your role. There will be the expectation to weigh and take blood pressure as part of treatment, and you will receive the appropriate level of training in this, which will include when to report to other colleagues for further action.
