We are looking to expand our clinical team for Dermatology services by recruiting a Dermatology Nurse Consultant.
Dermatology is a very busy specialty, providing care to around 550 adult and paediatric patients per week, working alongside experienced colleagues across multi-disciplinary teams with the goal to provide the best care for our patients. We are the best performing Dermatology service within Greater Manchester, achieved through great management, support from other services, and dedication to providing excellent patient care to our community.

Main duties of the job
* The post holder will take a lead role in the advanced clinical assessment and treatment of a diverse caseload of dermatology patients, who may have undiagnosed highly complex and/or chronic inflammatory skin presentation.
* Will provide clinical expertise for developing and enhancing the service, provide highly specialised advice, consultancy, clinical expertise, and leadership to patients, carers, and Trust staff.
* Will contribute to research in the field of inflammatory skin disease and biologics to ensure that evidence-based practice is inherent in all aspects of care and treatment.
* Will provide professional leadership for the advanced nurse practitioner and specialist nurse team within the Dermatology department.
About us
The service is located within the centre of the hospital site in a dedicated department. The department offers seven clinic rooms, two theatres, and a phototherapy unit. We offer a range of clinics led by both consultants and specialist nurses.
We are currently developing a tele-dermatology service and aim to offer a Biologics service to our Bolton population in the near future.

Person Specification
Qualifications
* Five years post-registration experience, of which three years' experience are within the dermatology services at a senior level.
* Evidence of extensive expert professional/clinical knowledge in dermatology supplemented by specialist clinical training and CPD.
* Effective communicator able to communicate complex and highly sensitive information.
* Evidence of effective people management and leadership skills.
* Evidence of relevant involvement in meeting the Trust clinical governance.
* Supplementary and Extended Non-medical Prescriber.
* Post-basic qualification in specialty.
* Evidence of proactive involvement in the mentorship and development of nurses and nursing practice.
* Other evidence of teaching and/or publication.
Knowledge, skills, and experience
* Demonstrates specialty expertise underpinned by theory acquired through CPD.
* Evidence of involvement in the development of programmes of care, protocols, and clinical audit.
* Excellent clinical reasoning/clinical decision making.
* Evidence of involvement and leadership in teaching and mentoring learners.
* Ability to lead a team to achieve results.
* High level organisational skills.
* Can demonstrate assertiveness, tact, and diplomacy appropriately.
