Mantell Associates are proudly partnered with a leading CDMO in their search for an Analytical Chemist (Spectroscopy) to join their team.
Analytical Chemist (Spectroscopy) - Responsibilities:
* Perform routine and advanced spectroscopy analysis (e.g., UV-Vis, IR, NMR, MS) to support the development and testing of chemical products.
* Develop and validate analytical methods for the characterization of small molecules and large complex molecules.
* Analyze and interpret spectral data to ensure the quality, purity, and identity of chemical substances.
* Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to spectroscopic instrumentation and data interpretation.
* Maintain and calibrate spectroscopy instruments to ensure accurate and reliable results.
* Document experimental procedures, results, and deviations in compliance with Good Laboratory Practice (GLP) and relevant regulatory standards.
* Provide technical support for product development teams, offering analytical insights to improve product formulations and processes.
* Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure timely completion of analytical tasks, from early-phase development to commercialization.
* Ensure adherence to all safety, environmental, and quality standards while conducting spectroscopy analysis.
* Train junior team members on spectroscopy techniques and data analysis, ensuring consistent and accurate use of equipment and methods.
Analytical Chemist (Spectroscopy) - Requirements:
* 5 GCSE (or equivalent) passes, grades A-C, including Mathematics and English Language
* Degree level qualification in an Analytical/Chemistry related discipline or equivalent experience
* Demonstrated hands on experience in one or more of the following MS techniques in an industrial or academic environment; LCMSn, GC-MSn
* Experience of structure elucidation and quantitative analysis using MS
