Our sales team is the engine that drives our national reach in homeware products solutions. We are looking for a high-performing Sales Manager to maximise our potential to help us meet our customer acquisition and revenue growth targets by keeping our company competitive and innovative, through their own skill and the leadership of a team of driven sales representatives.
Our ideal Sales Manager has in-depth knowledge of, and experience with the sales process, excelling at lead generation, relationship building, and closing deals.
We’re seeking a quick learner with strong negotiating skills, and someone with a track record of success who can inspire the same in others. The role demands a leader with a sharp analytical mind and the ability to coach, advise, motivate and support our team of sales account managers to create and maintain a high-performance sales force.
You will be accustomed to using a solution sales approach whereby customer needs are central to the whole process. Presentable, polished, intelligent, and articulate, you will be commercially aware, goal orientated and self-driven.
Your success shall be measured and rewarded against overall sales growth, gross turnover, and margin targets, which will require you to proactively identify & capitalise on all opportunities to increase sales/profitability.
Responsibilities:
* To have overall responsibility for sales in the company, excluding internet sales and e-commerce.
* Strive for improvement, both internally and externally, creating and executing strategic sales plan that expands our customer base and ensures our strong presence in the homeware market.
* Achieve growth and hit sales targets by successfully managing the sales team (including agents).
* Create and execute strategic sales plan that expands our customer base and ensures our strong presence in the homeware market. Use the range of tools available to work with increased efficiency and effectiveness.
* Establish sales objectives by forecasting and developing annual sales quotas for regions and territories; and projecting expected sales volume and profit for existing and new products.
* Achieve company objectives through effective planning, setting sales goals, analysing performance data, and projecting future performance.
* Present sales, revenue and expenses reports and realistic forecasts to the management team.
* Generate leads, build, and promote strong, long-lasting customer relationships by partnering with them and understanding their needs.
* Manage recruitment, objective setting, coaching and performance management of our team of sales representatives, ensuring the team uses effective sales tactics to meet revenue, and assigned tasks and responsibilities are fulfilled.
* Identify emerging markets and market shifts while being fully aware of new products and competition status.
* Identify knowledge gaps within the team and develop a plan to fulfil them. Motivate, advise, and support the team of sales representatives.
* Track, analyse, and communicate key quantitative metrics and business trends as they relate to partner relationships.
* Oversee the sales team to ensure company quotas and standards are met by holding daily check-ins with the team to set objectives for the day and monitor progress regularly.
Skills and Qualifications
* 3+ years in sales management within a corporate setting
* Proven track record of success within the sales cycle from plan to close
* Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organisational skills
* Superb leadership ability, including effective mentoring, coaching and people management skills
* Strong business sense and industry expertise
* Proven effective analytical skills
* Ability to travel
