You will be working for a large principal contractor that has been awarded an industrial build project in the Ipswich area.
Your new role
You will be based on site and be responsible for assisting on allmercial aspects of the project, providingmercial support and advice to the team to aid decision-making, maintainingmercial information, and ensuringpliance with the contractual requirements. You will procure subcontract packages, you will assist with monitoring contract progress against the agreed programmes, control costs against agreed budgets/end cost forecasts, prepare and agree interim valuations and final accounts, prepare, and agree any necessary claims for reimbursements and for loss and expense and will liaise with the customers and third parties on allmercial matters. As Quantity Surveyor, you will be aware of any potential implications for dispute resolution and also contribute to development of appropriate quality, health and safety, welfare, and risk management on site. There is a particular emphasis on temporary works and interface with stakeholders from the public EG utilitypanies and local authorities.
What you'll need to succeed
You will be degree qualified and already have UK construction experience, soundmercial awareness, excellentmunication & negotiation and good knowledge of construction contracts JCT/NEC Form. You must have the right to work in the UK.
