Job Title: Head of Channel Sales As Head of Channel Sales, you will be responsible for ensuring the strong operational performance and delivery on Revenue and Gross Profit for Nimans Channel Sales Division. You will have direct line management of the Sales Managers assigned to you and responsibility for their team members. You will drive sales performance within the Channel Sales division by ensuring all sales targets, KPI’s and objectives are achieved to maximise profit and ensure the department is delivering YOY growth, whilst ensuring our customers are provided with a high-quality enhanced customer experience. You will review and implement operational processes and procedures that optimise efficiencies. You will coach, mentor, develop and build the skills of your direct reports and their team to build a high performing, motivated team through effective leadership. Key Responsibilities: • Ensure achievement of all agreed Channel Sales targets and establish Nimans as the primary supplier of communications to existing miscellaneous and new accounts. • Manage the division targets, forecasting and reporting ensuring delivery against budgets/gross profit margins. • Collaborate with Marketing to create and deliver sales campaigns and strategic vendor focus days with successful delivery and ROI. • Own, review and update all processes within the division to improve business processes and optimise the use of technology to enhance the customer buying/ordering experience. • Manage any department escalations and workflows, ensuring issues that arise in a high transacting environment are dealt with efficiently and successfully. • Ensure all colleagues in Channel Sales have a healthy pipeline of opportunities in order to meet short- and medium-term sales objectives/KPI’s and are actively contributing towards the Division budget/gross profit. • Proactively work with category management team on pipeline management & forecast accuracy • Monitor the activity of direct report(s) in order to achieve/deliver on agreed activity targets. • Take responsibility for increasing sales of vendor products and services through all Channel Sales accounts. • Generate ideas about future activity by maintaining up to date knowledge of the marketplace, competitors and trends in order to identify and introduce new products into current or adjacent markets. • Develop and implement strategies to identify new business initiatives by maximising market opportunities. • Ensure that direct report(s) : maintain good and effective working relationships with all internal contacts, fully understand and adhere to all relevant Nimans’ sales processes, maintain high levels of appropriate product and service knowledge on current and future Nimans products, maintain knowledge of the industry and competitor activity to better promote Nimans’ position, respond to management requests in a timely manner, undertake all training required by Nimans to develop their role as required. • Maintain personal activity levels, set standards (to be agreed) to ensure Channel Sales performance targets are met as a whole, conduct themselves in a manner commensurate with the position they hold both inside and outside the Company. Protecting the Company’s image and assets. • Ensure effective meetings are held, 1-2-1’s, appraisals, quarterly Channel sales meetings etc. Essential Skills & Qualities: • Strong leader with hands on people management • Emotionally Intelligent • Effective Relationship Management • Commercial Acumen • Influential, ability to set goals, achieving deliverables • Business focused • Results driven • Committed • Positive & confident • Able to demonstrate leadership skills • Adaptable to change Essential Qualifications / Relevant Experience: • Demonstrable Sales Management experience • Experience of developing, motivating and driving a high performing sales team • Previous experience of delivery against sales targets/gross profit with profit growth • Excellent analytical and reporting skills • Strong customer focus and an understanding of customer needs to deliver growth • Sound judgement and decision making abilities • A strategic thinker, to implement new processes and initiatives to improve performance • Full UK driving licence • Qualification in Management, NVQ / ILM Diploma level 3 or above Desirable • I n depth knowledge of the telecoms marketplace and distribution • Understanding of using an ERP system (Masterpack) • Technical Acumen
