Consultant Oncologist - Urology + 2nd tumour site (NHS Medical & Dental: Consultant) - Oncology - Somerset NHS Foundation Trust
We provide Clinical and Medical Oncology inpatient and outpatient services, as well as radiotherapy and systemic anti-cancer therapy to all common tumour sites. The Beacon Centre and St Margaret's Hospice provide cancer care to the population of Somerset of approximately 560,000. They have received a number of accolades since opening in 2009 for the high-quality care delivered, including CHKS ISO 9001 accreditation and Macmillan Quality Environment Mark score of 5 on all principles.
The role will incorporate the management of uro-oncology patients and one other tumour site. This second site can be discussed in pre-interview conversations with one of the Clinical Service Leads.
The successful applicant would join a professional but friendly uro-oncology team of 3 Clinical Oncologists, 1 Medical Oncologist, 2 Specialty Doctors, 1 Consultant Radiographer, 1 Consultant Pharmacist, 1 Chemotherapy Nurse Prescriber and 2 Immunotherapy Advanced Nurse Practitioners. We work with a team of supportive and collaborative urologists and enjoy training a group of motivated trainees and Specialty Doctors.
